- Be in focused prayer before you come.
- Leave nicotine products behind.
- If instant coffee won't do, bring your coffee supplies.
- Prepare an encouraging devotion/sermonette to share (share draft with your host)
- Practice your host country's language
- Get excited about your host countries food. Note the name of a dish you want to try.
- Limit yourself to 1 suitcase
- Do not forget rehydration mix, bug spray, sunblock, snacks and an electrical socket adapter.

Our outlets give out 220 volts compared to the States which give 110 volts. Therefore, plugging your devices directly into the wall could destroy them.
Phones, tablets and computers are okay when you use an adapter, anything bigger requires a converter.
Anything with an heating element not made for 220 volts will be damaged if used without an adapter that has a voltage step down built in.
When in doubt, ask us. You may not need to purchase these items.
